Clearly, pumpkin plants don't mind the heat as long as they're watered regularly. Last year was our first attempt at growing pumpkins and we only planted Jack-Be-Littles. This year we added pie pumpkins and they're taking over the yard and driveway. The grandsons are beyond thrilled, which makes all the effort worthwhile.
