Elliott called Wednesday night and asked if he could sleep over Friday night. That's a request a grandma can't refuse no matter how badly she wanted to sleep late Saturday morning. We'll have Chinese takeout for dinner like we usually do when Elliott sleeps over on a Friday. Then, per Elliott's plan, we'll watch the first Harry Potter movie.
I really enjoy being with Elliott without Jonah. It's the only way I can give him my full attention. And it's the only way we can have good conversations. Elliott's a smart five-year-old with an amazing thought process. I just want to soak it up.
